Duration: 13 days and 12 nights
Description: The sights and sounds of Australia and New Zealand are well covered in this tour. It gives you ample time to explore on your own while making sure that you are taken to the best spots that both countries have to offer.
Day 1: Sydney: Arrival at Sydney international airport and transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 2: City Sightseeing Tour (B): Breakfast at hotel. Half day city tour. City sights tour includes Opera House, Parliament House, Hyde Park, Sydney Tower and Darling Harbour. You will have to find your own way back to Hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 3: Blue Mountains and Wildlife Park (B): Breakfast at hotel. Full day visit to Blue Mountains. Enjoy a morning break in the township of Leura. Enjoy a stop at Govetts Leap. Visit an Australian wildlife park with an opportunity to touch a koala and see other unique Australian animals. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 4: Sydney – Brisbane – Gold Coast (B): Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to airport for your flight to Brisbane. Arrive at Brisbane and transfer to hotel at Gold Coast. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 5: Movieworld OR Seaworld (B): Breakfast at hotel. Full day visit to Movieworld OR Sea World. Late afternoon transfer to Gold Coast International Hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 6: Dreamworld (B): Breakfast at hotel. Full day visit to Dream World. Transfer back to hotel and at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 7: Arrive Christchurch (B): Departure from Brisbane: Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Brisbane airport for departure. On arrival in Christchurch, ‘The Garden City’, you will be met by our local representative and privately transferred to your hotel. Self-drive passengers will collect your rental car at the airport and drive to your hotel.
Day 8 – Christchurch – Punakaiki – Greymouth (B):
Depart for Christchurch on the renowned Tranz Alpine Train (seat-in coach passengers only), over the Southern Alps to Greymouth. On arrival in Greymouth, continue by coach to Punakaiki to view the Pancake Rocks, magnificent limestone formations carved over millions of years. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 9 – Greymouth – Glacier Region (B)
Depart Greymouth and travel south along the Scenic West Coast, with views of both the Southern Alps and the Tasman Sea. Stop at Hokitika enroute where you can view greenstone carvers and glass blowers at work. View Franz Josef Glacier and Fox Glaciers and nearby Lake Matheson, formed some 14,000 years ago from trapped ice. On calm days, the still waters provide brilliant reflections of Mt. Cook and Tasman. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 10 – Glacier Region – Queenstown (B):
Depart the Glacier Region today through spectacular mountain ranges, native forests and lakes to Haast Pass, Gateway to World Heritage Westland National Park. Follow the shores of Lakes Hawea and Wanaka to Queenstown. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 11 – Queenstown (B):
A free day to explore the endless optional attractions available. Queenstown offers bungy jumping, jetboating, white water rafting, gondola rides and much more. Optional activities not included in the tour price. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 12 – Queenstown – MT Cook – Christchurch (B):
Travel through the Central Otago region to Mt. Cook, or as known in Maori ‘Aoraki’, the cloud piercer. Visit the Church of the Good Shepherd at Lake Tekapo before travelling across the Canterbury Plains to arrive in Christchurch. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 13 – Departure Day (B):
After breakfast check out from hotel and transfer to Airport to board your flight home.
